For the 250cc & 350cc platforms, Yoshimura’s R&D engineers focused on getting this new powerplant to carry power all the way through the range. The result? A much wider power curve with +2.7% more max horsepower and +2.6% max torque. For those on the 450cc platform, the numbers get even more interesting by adding +5.9% peak horsepower and a stonking +6.9% max torque!

But here’s where things get clever. This RS-12 is the first Yoshimura production motocross exhaust to incorporate resonators on both the header and in the muffler. That new header resonator unlocks bottom and midrange power, making the Austrian bikes not only more powerful but providing additional overrev.
